Born in Niigata, Japan, Sachiyo Takahashi is an artist who, through her quirky theatrical settings, explores human nature and forgotten emotion. Her recent "Microscopic Live Cinema-Theatre" magnifies a world populated with oddities of figurines and found objects. Combining fine-tuned sound and fable-like abstract narratives, Sachiyo leads the audience through a journey that transcends ordinary imagination.

Her works have been presented internationally including the Advancing Performing Arts Project in the EU, the Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space and the International Symposium on Electronic Art in Japan. She was a recipient of the Pola Art Foundation grant in 2003. Sachiyo currently lives and works in New York.

Sachiyo collaborated as a co-director to The seventh floor of the world (2013).
