Brynjar Åbel Bandlien (NO/RO) is a cultural scoobadiver snorkeling over the Scandinavian and Balcanic reefs. Bandlien was educated in dance in his native Norway and Germany. In the period 1995-1998 he worked as a professional dancer with the Netherlands Dance Theater 2 in Holland before pursuing a career as a freelance dancer. He has worked and collaborated with artist such as Vera Mantero, Manuel Pelmus, Raimund Hoghe, Antonija Livingstone, Philipp Gehmacher and Jennifer Lacey.
He started his work as a comic book artist in 2008 by contributing to the publication Aooleu! in Bucharest, Romania. Bandlien has released the comic books Strimb Life in 2009 and Strimb Living-5 years with Oskar in 2011, both published by Hard Comics.
He is currently working on a new comic called Strimb Kids to be released in september 2013. Bandlien is based in Oslo and Berlin.
